In the 2011 flood tens of thousands of trees were uprooted by walls of water up to 30' high. This tree fell near my home where many houses completely disappeared. The owner happily gave the whole tree to me, providing wood for a whole year's work of bowl turning. I wanted to remember the tree and how it came to me.
